The Big 4 Plyometric Program

The GCPT Big 4 Plyometric Program is the last installment of the Big 4 series I initially launched in 2020. A natural progression from the movement patterns and training velocities we performed in the Big 4 Power, this program shifts its focus onto plyometric jumping progressions. All while maintaining the core pushing, pulling and hinging accessories seen in previous programs.

The program consists of:

  1. 3 training phases consisting of 2 training weeks each

  2. 3-day training split with an emphasis on plyometric jumping and pushing variations.

  3. Carefully selected accessories and assistance lifts to round out and supplement full-body power development.

The Big 4 Plyometric Program is most suitable for:

  1. Trainees and athletes looking to improve rate of force development/explosive strength.

  2. Athletes wanting to expose themselves to sound plyometric training principles and plyometric variations that can transfer over to more sport-specific physical preparation programs.
