Geoffrey Chiu (B.KIN, NSCA-CSCS)
Hi I’m Geoffrey, a performance coach from Vancouver, Canada.
Welcome to my coaching business, and the most passionate project in my life - GC Performance Training.
Since I’ve started my career 7 years ago, I have been deeply involved in all aspects of fitness, strength & conditioning and combat sports. This has lead me to develop and coach provincial, national and international-level athletes from many different sports including basketball, tennis, badminton, strength sports (powerlifting, weightlifting), muay thai and boxing. My coaching experience also extends to working with youth sports teams, police officer personnel and business professionals.
As of late, my goal and purpose as a coach and content creator has been to bridge the gap between combat sports and strength & conditioning development. Using pragmatic training methods to further elevate the current landscape and paradigms of combat sports.
I write for my own blog and other professional athletic development websites about topics such as strength & conditioning, periodization and planning, as well as skill acquisition. My goal is share information and create content to help both coaches and athletes think more critically about human performance.
